Virtual Augmented and Mixed Reality Center at the University Campus of Arta (Epirus XR Center)

The new building of the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications at the campus of Arta, whose upgrading works will be completed in April, will soon house the Virtual Augmented and Mixed Reality Center of Epirus Region (XR Center) which aims through advanced virtual reality techniques, augmented and mixed reality and by creating a flexible multi-purpose space to promote interdisciplinary research, and to provide expertise, learning and teaching of virtual and augmented reality techniques.
The equipment of the Centre will consist of:
A Virtual Reality cell (C.A.V.E.)
Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality glasses
Motion and Position Recording Systems
Robotic arm
Haptic feedback
Driving simulator
3D scanner/ 3D printer
Physiological data recording sensors
