The Centre for Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality of Epirus (XRCENTER) welcomed the Ano Kalentini High School on Thursday 8 February 2024. This visit was a unique opportunity for the students to get acquainted with the innovative technologies and applications developed within the framework of XRCENTER.
During their visit, the students had the opportunity to attend an immersive presentation of XRCENTER in the CAVE (Virtual Reality Cell) area, where they explored the world of Mixed Reality. From virtual reality (VR) applications to the use of robots in various fields of technology, students had a unique experience that stretched the limits of their imagination.
The presentation was followed by a demonstration of XRCENTER applications, students had the opportunity to try haptic feedback and interact with a robotic arm, while there were many tests in Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and an ongoing Mixed Reality application.
XRCENTER is dedicated to promoting technological innovation and education in the fields of Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality. The visit of Kalentini High School was an important opportunity to inspire and encourage young people to explore the exciting world of technology and innovation.
