Visit by the 2nd Junior High School of Arta to the EpirusXRCenter

The EpirusXRCenter (Center for Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed Reality of the Region of Epirus) was pleased to welcome the 2nd Junior High School of Arta as part of an educational visit involving 60 students and 6 teachers.

During the visit, the students had the opportunity to experience firsthand advanced technologies that are shaping the future of education and research. Specifically, they attended an impressive presentation on the CAVE (Cave Automatic Virtual Environment) system, experiencing a fully immersive virtual reality experience.

At the same time, they were introduced to Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) applications, interacting with digital environments and understanding the possibilities they offer in fields such as education, entertainment, and science.

The demonstration of the eye-tracking system generated particular interest, as students observed how eye movements are recorded and analyzed, as well as the driving simulator, through which they grasped the importance of attention and proper behavior on the road.

The visit concluded with enthusiasm and keen interest from the students, who had the opportunity to engage with innovative technologies and find inspiration for their future.

The EpirusXRCenter continues to support outreach and educational initiatives, bringing young people closer to the world of technology and innovation.
