Εκπαιδευτική Επίσκεψη του Τμήματος Μουσικών Σπουδών στο Πρότυπο Κέντρο Εικονικής, Επαυξημένης και Μικτής Πραγματικότητας της Περιφέρειας Ηπείρου!

On Friday, February 17, 2025, the Model Center for Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality of the Region of Epirus had the pleasure to welcome the students of the course "Cultural Industries and Technoculturalism in Music", of the Department of Music Studies of the University of Ioannina.

The visiting team consisted of 20 students and their accompanying teacher, who had the opportunity to get to know the activities and technological capabilities of the Centre.

During the visit, a presentation on the activities and programmes of the Centre was given, followed by the students' participation in a series of cutting-edge demonstrations. The demonstrations included:

• Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR/AR) experiences
• Hand tracking devices (hand tracking devices)
• – Robotic arms
• Driving simulator, offering a realistic experience.

The visit concluded with the students' participation in a special VR CPR simulation, combining Virtual Reality technology with first aid training.

The Model Centre for Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality continues to be a hub of innovation and education, providing visitors with the opportunity to explore the latest technologies and discover how they can be applied to different fields such as culture and music.
