It was with great pleasure and enthusiasm that we welcomed the students of the 1st Model High School of Preveza with High School Classes, on January 26, 2024, at the Human-Computer Interaction Laboratory (HCI LAB) and the Center for Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality of Epirus Region (KEEPI) of the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of the University of Ioannina in Arta.
During this educational visit, the students had the opportunity to learn about advanced cutting-edge technologies such as robotics, 3D printing and virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR) applications. The students’ interaction with these innovative technologies proved to be very inspiring, as they showed great enthusiasm and interest in using them. This experience provided them with valuable insights into the applications of modern technology in everyday life and scientific research, enriching their horizons in the field of IT.
In addition, we are particularly grateful for the recognition and presentation of this visit in the school’s student magazine. This publication not only helps to strengthen the school’s relationship with the academic community, but also helps to promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) to students.
KEEPI and HCI LAB will continue to support such educational initiatives, seeking to inspire the next generation and provide opportunities to learn and interact with new technologies, thus contributing to enhancing the educational experience of students and promoting innovation in our region.
We would like to thank the 1st Model High School of Preveza for their cooperation and we look forward to future joint actions!
