On Friday, April 5, 2024, the Arta Town Hall hosted iSAVELives HandsON, in collaboration with KIDSSAVELIVES and the Center for Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality of Epirus Region (KEEPI) of the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of the University of Ioannina.
HandsON was a unique opportunity for the participants to familiarize themselves with Basic Life Support through practical training and education, applying new and modern technologies developed at the KEEPEPH.
Participants had the opportunity to observe and participate in a variety of activities, including:
Victim assessment and activation station 112 | 166, CPR on a victim of cardiac arrest.
CPR station and safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator.
Station for the treatment of an unconscious victim and the treatment of a foreign body choking.
New technology station such as VR CPR, iSAVElives App, AED MAP and guided CPR.
The event was attended with interest by the Mayor of Arta and the Deputy Mayor of Social Welfare – Volunteerism – Social Structures & KDAP / KDAP-MED, as well as members of the Municipality.
Their participation was an important addition to the successful conduct of iSAVELives HandsON and enhanced the sense of community solidarity and contribution to society.
