The Department of Architecture and Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Ioannina paid a visit to the Centre for Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality of Epirus Region, where it had the opportunity to explore the activities of the Centre in the CAVE (virtual reality cell).
The Department, composed of a group of highly talented members, visited the Centre in order to further understand the advanced technologies and the possibilities offered by virtual, augmented and mixed reality in the field of architecture and space design.
During the visit, students and faculty had the opportunity to see first-hand the operation of CAVE, a space that allows users to interact with virtual environments in three dimensions, providing a unique experience in the design and development of architectural projects.
Visitors were excited about the possibilities offered by the CAVE space and had the opportunity to discuss with the Centre’s experts the possibilities of applying such technologies to real architectural and design projects in the field.
The visit proved to be very constructive and interesting for the students and faculty of the Department, offering new ideas and perspectives in the field of architecture and space design in the 21st century.
