On Thursday 25 April 2024, the Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality Centre of Epirus Region (XRCENTER) welcomed the students of grades 5 and 6 of Agios Dimitrios Petas Primary School for an exciting excursion full of learning and entertainment.
The visit began with a tour of the CAVE (Virtual Reality Cell), where students were introduced to virtual and augmented reality technologies through an extensive presentation that included images and videos. This presentation showed the students how these technologies work and how they are applied in different fields.
The students then participated in various activities designed to introduce them to augmented reality. Through HoloLens 2, they had the opportunity to explore virtual objects and interact with the environment in a whole new way. This experience gave them a fun and practical understanding of the technologies used in virtual and augmented reality.
This visit was a unique opportunity for the students to experience cutting-edge technologies in an educational and entertaining environment. They left with smiles and many stories to share with their classmates.
XRCENTER expresses its thanks to Agios Dimitrios Petas Primary School for the visit and hopes to welcome the students again in the future
